A comprehensive eye examination serves to evaluate your overall eye health and vision. It includes assessments for refractive errors (like nearsightedness or farsightedness), the detection of eye diseases and the overall condition of your eyes. Regular eye exams can help identify issues early and ensure optimal visual health.
The recommended frequency of eye exams varies depending on age and individual risk factors. As a general guideline, adults should have their eyes examined at least every two years and more frequently if they have specific eye conditions or are at higher risk. Children and seniors may require more frequent examinations.
Signs that may indicate a need for an eye examination include blurred or double vision, frequent headaches, difficulty focusing, eye strain, redness or irritation and changes in vision quality. If you experience any of these symptoms, scheduling an eye exam is advisable to address potential vision issues or eye health concerns.
We are open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday mornings 830am to 12pm. We are closed on Sundays and public holidays. We also close for the period Christmas to new year.
Yes -we look after all aspects of children’s vision including glasses, contact lenses, sport glasses, myopia control. Our standard eye tests are bulk billed until 18 years of age.
